Hale Cocoa was one of our favorite stops. It’s actually the main location for Puna Chocolate Company, and you can really tell they care about what they do. The chocolate and coffee were both amazing, full of flavor and clearly made with a lot of love. What made it even better was how into it the staff were. They walked us through how the cacao is grown and made into chocolate right there on the farm. You don’t just taste it, you understand it, which makes it all the more enjoyable. The sipping chocolate is a must. It’s rich, creamy, and just hits the spot. I’d honestly go back just for that. If you’re in the Kona area, definitely check this place out. It’s more than just chocolate, it’s a full experience.

A lovely small business. Very interesting products. Especially if you're a chocolate lover. They have quite a variety of things. Some of it's quite pricey. But it's top of the line chocolate from the big island. All locally sourced and made. Very, very tasty!

Stopped in here to get some coffee and possible snacks while driving up north after seeing the black sand beach. The staff was super friendly, offered some samples, and we got some Americanas for myself and my wife, and got our daughter the sipping chocolate on the menu. It was a good sipping chocolate but it was dark chocolate so not as liked by my daughter. The parking was plentiful and they offer tours a few times a day for a fee. If we were in the area again we'd probably stop by for some coffee, but our vacation is almost over.

We just stopped in to try some chocolate and were met by the very friendly and helpful staff. The kids had some frozen hot chocolate, which was amazing. My wife and I had some cold brew coffee and split a magic bar. Everything was great! I wish we could have gotten on the tour, but that would have required a bit more planning on our part. Definitely make the stop if you’re in the area, and do some more planning than we did so you can get on a tour.

Fun coffee shop with a local island vibe. Coffee is excellent with great, local prices. Staff was very friendly and drinks were made with live. Great find and is highly recommended if headed down south.

A great tour! Our leader was warm and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about coffee, cocoa, spices and the climate in the big island. We tasted a variety of great chocolate too. And it was reasonably priced

This little cafe is so lovely! The space to sit looks out into lush greenery, there’s lots of chocolate and goodies to try, and the coffee is excellent. The cold brew is really good, but super caffeinated, so it would be good to split between two people. The staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is calm, and the chocolate less expensive than other places on the island, especially for single origin chocolate. Definitely worth a visit for some souvenirs!

Amazing coffee shop with great views and incredible prices. Try the Ube Dream or just enjoy the Kona coffee. Breakfast sandwiches and burrito are both good and a nice selection of pastry.
